Gate FAQ’s

How do I get in?

  • Every Member will receive a close range gate card that they can scan at the card reader located on driver’s side of car near guard hut to open the gate.  Exit is automatic.  Each Senior member will receive one close range card and a card for a spouse at no cost. Other membership categories will receive one card.

  • Longer range cards that work approximately 8 ft from the reader are available to purchase for $45 upon return of the close range card.

How do I let a guest in?

    • Members will have a 4 digit number that they can give to guests.  When a guest enters that number into the entrance keypad it will dial the member’s cell phone and the member can let them in.

    • This feature can also be used by the member to let themselves in should they forget their gate card.

    • Functions booked in the Commodore’s Room, Chart Room or Dining Room will be assigned a 4 digit code that expires at the conclusion of the function.

How do Emergency vehicles and deliveries enter?

    • Fire, Police and Ambulance will have access codes.  In addition, the clubhouse security system will open the gate automatically in the event the alarm is triggered.

    • The entrance keypad is also equipped with an assistance button that calls a dedicated cell phone that will be carried by a staff member during the day and security guard at night.

When will the gate be completed?

    • At this time, we don’t have an exact date when the gate will be completed. We expect it will be within the next month.

How do I get my card?

    • Cards will be mailed out to members prior to the gate operating.

When will the system be fully functioning?

    • After the cards have been mailed to members, the system will be in place when a reasonable time period has elapsed to allow mail delivery of cards.

Will the gate be closed at all times?

    • The gate will be closed as often as possible.

What if I forget my password?

    • You may use your card, or use the “call” feature at the entrance of the gate.

What happens during a power outage?

    • During a power outage, the gate will open and remain open.

Helpful Hints:

    • Long range cards are recommended and are the fastest and easiest ways for access.

    • In the event you have guests coming to the club, be sure to have your cell phone handy at expected time of guest arrival.

    • Encourage all individuals who sail regularly with you to join our club!

    • Use the cards given and code system rather than using the operator call button to improve efficiency.
