General Information:

The RNSYS Miami Winter House is a property that has been rented by the club from December 1st 2011 to March 31st 2012, with the purpose of providing affordable, convenient and safe accommodations for RNSYS sailors wishing to train and race throughout the winter months.

The house is located in a residential neighborhood and is within walking distance to the US Sailing Centre Miami and other major amenities (also within walking distance to the Coral Reef Yacht Club, Biscayne Bay Yacht Club, Shake A Leg Sailing Centre and the Coconut Grove Sailing Club). The house has three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a living room and a large kitchen. There is a small backyard with a barbecue and room to park two vehicles. The house is fully furnished, inclusive of bed and bath linens, cooking and dishware, basic cable TV and wireless Internet. Cleaning services will be provided on a weekly basis.

The cost for staying at the house is $40.00 per person per night.

Booking Protocol:

All booking inquiries and completed application forms can be directed to the Coordinator of Sail Training, Matt Smider: sailnow@rnsys.com. The Coordinator of Sail Training will be responsible for forwarding appropriate information to the Financial Controller and Head Race Coach.

Our cancellation policy is as follows:
Less than two weeks notice: no refund.
Less than four weeks notice: 25% refund.
Less than six weeks notice: 50% refund.
Less than eight weeks notice: 75% refund.
More than eight weeks notice: full refund.
Only under extenuating circumstances (as determined by General Manager or Head Race Coach), will exceptions be granted.

Please note the following information regarding booking priority:

It is best to reserve accommodation ASAP. However, priority is given to sailors interested in staying for longer periods of time. Therefore, sailors interested in staying less than two weeks will receive confirmation of their accommodation within five business days. Sailors interested in staying longer than two weeks will receive confirmation of their accommodation within three business days. Additionally, junior sailors will receive booking priority between March 10th - 25th, 2012.

House Rules:

1) Obey the rules. The RNSYS Miami House is designed to provide a positive  resting environment for sailors wishing to seriously pursue the sport of sailing.  Anyone who intends to use the accommodations for other purposes will not be  permitted to stay at the house. It is important that the House Rules are followed  accordingly, thus allowing the greatest benefit for all.

2)  Sailors are responsible for cleaning up after themselves and looking after the  house. Specific duties may include (but are not limited to): cleaning dishes,   taking out garbage/recycling, shutting off lights, locking doors, etc. There  will be  a designated ‘Sailor On Duty’ who will be responsible for coordinating duties  and ensuring that sailors are complying. If the ‘Sailor On Duty’ does not feel as  though other sailors are fulfilling duties and/or adhering to House Rules, it is  his/her responsibility to inform the Head Race Coach.

3) A minor (under 18 years of age), must be accompanied by an Adult Chaperone. If  all sailors at the house are considered minors, then the responsibility of the  ‘Sailor On Duty’ will be passed along to the Adult Chaperone. The Adult Chaperone must stay at RNSYS Miami House.

4) Room designation will be determined by the Coordinator of Sail Training.  There  will be two sailors per room. Changes to room assignments must be authorized by  Head Race Coach.

5) Guests are not permitted in the house after 6pm, unless authorized by Head Race  Coach.

6) No smoking or pets allowed. No alcoholic beverages allowed when minors are in  the house.

7) Noise must be kept to a minimum after 11pm.
