Sailing Instuctor / CoachThe Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron is accepting applications for enthusiastic, knowledgeable, creative and dedicated instructors/coaches for the Summer 2012:
Optimist Instructors
• Wet Feet/Intro/Advanced/Learn to Race
• Contract: June 18th – August 31st
420 Instructors
• Intro/Advanced/Learn to Race
• Contract: June 18th – August 31st
Laser Instructors
• Intro/Advanced/Learn to Race
• Contract: June 18th – August 31st
Optimist Race Coach
• Contract: June 18th – August 31st
• Previous experience coaching a race team required
• Availability for evening and weekend training during the Spring and Fall considered an asset
Adult Sailing Instructor
• 2-3 nights a week + private lessons
• May to August; hourly pay
RNSYS is located on the Northwest Arm in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We offer the largest and most successful learn to sail and racing programs in Atlantic Canada. Our newly updated facilities, friendly work environment and competitive salaries (commensurate with experience) will ensure that you thoroughly enjoy your experience at the Squadron.
Prospective applicants should hold appropriate CYA or equivalent certification. Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C, Swimming Certificate/Boat Rescue and PCOC also required. All applicants are required to attend a three-day Orientation Session the week of June 11th.
