North 44 Yacht Sales RNSYS Regatta
Our annual RNSYS Regatta, sponsored by North 44 Yacht Sales, is being held one week later than usual due to SailGP, on the second weekend in June. This regatta will be handicap racing with a mixture of windward/leeward races and around-the-buoys adventures. On the better weather day, A class will be racing for the Wenonah Cup. Early bird discount until May 2nd. Everyone welcome!
Casual Mondays
A second weeknight race but in a more casual style. White sails only, a breakwater start and finish and casual courses. Mondays from June to August (see schedule below). No registration, just check in before the race, and it’s free!

Canada Day Race
The Canada Day harbour race. Open to all. Show your colours and enjoy the day with a family friendly harbour race.
White Point Coastal Race
A 148NM coastal ocean race from Halifax to White Point and back. Open to all. Boats must meet the modified OSR Cat 3 requirements outlined below.
Boxing Rock Cup
The annual favourite, Sail NS’s Boxing Rock Cup. The event starts at the RNSYS and BBYC and finishes downtown. A Bermuda (pursuit) start makes life easier on the start line and more exciting at the other end. Stay tuned for more details.
2024 WASZP North American Championship

Prince of Wales Race
The race for the Prince of Wales Trophy will be raced for on Saturday with Sunday as a rain date. Our oldest trophy, the Oland-Passow, will be awarded for the best placed boat in the Prince of Wales and the Wenonah, raced for during the June Regatta.
Turkey Bowl
Win the race, win a turkey! A fun harbour race for everyone with turkeys as the prizes. Gooble, gobble, gobble!
Awards Night Party!
We extend a warm invitation to all our valued members, skippers, and crew to partake in the festivities at the Saraguay House. The doors will open at 6 pm, and our much-anticipated awards ceremony will kick off at 7 pm. Savor delectable Hors D'Oeuvres as they circulate throughout the night. Following the awards, we'll keep the celebration going with an afterparty at Saraguay, featuring a DJ spinning the hottest tracks once the award presentation concludes.

Taste of Italy Night
Embark on a delectable journey as we welcome a surprise guest chef for our enchanting "Taste of Italy" night, has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 4th, at 6 pm.
Featuring a four-course meal, with the spotlight on the exquisite lobster ravioli.

Annual Cruising Dinner
We are excited to invite all Members to the Annual Squadron Cruising Dinner on Monday, March 25th, at the Saraguay House. We will be joined by members of the Cruising Club of America and the Ocean Cruising Club. The OCC is celebrating the 70th anniversary of their founding this year.
Join us for an evening of celebration dedicated to all things boating, especially cruising, beginning with a 6 pm arrival and followed by dinner service at 7 pm. The event will feature a full buffet, exciting prizes and awards, and a presentation by John van-Schalkwyk on a passage from Florida directly to Ireland.
This annual dinner is an opportunity to celebrate intrepid sailors, reminisce about past expeditions, and get excited about upcoming adventures. Whether you're planning to cruise this season, have cruised before, or simply want to learn more about it, all are welcome.
During the evening, we will provide insights into this summer's cruise, which will explore the coves and islands on the Eastern shore en route to Cape Breton, concluding in Baddeck. For boaters, this is a chance to learn about Squadron Cruising, with no obligation to sign up for the cruise – it's merely an introduction.
The meal will be approximately $50 per person, with menu to be confirmed. RSVP is required for the dinner by 5pm, Wednesday, March 20th.

The 149th Annual General Meeting (formerly Annual and Budget Meeting or ABM), will be held at 6 PM on Thursday, 22 February, 2024, at the Saraguay House.

This event is open to all sailors in the 29er, Optimist, ILCA 7, and Finn Classes provided that at least five (5) boats are registered in each class by September 22nd, 2023.

Commodores Tea
A quintessential summer experience combining outdoor afternoon-tea service with delicate sandwiches & sweets accompanied by waterfront scapes. Our annual 'pinkies up' party commences at 2 pm.
The Commodore's Tea is hosted by Commodore Jeff Courish and his team of Vice Commodores and Members at Large who represent all corners of the club.
Squadron Kids Day
Save the date for an exciting event: Squadron Kids Day! Get ready to celebrate our younger Squadron Members on Saturday, August 12th from 1 pm- 4 pm. This special day will unfold at the Clubhouse Pool and on the main lawn, nestled between the pool and the clubhouse.
This will be one of the highlights of the summer. We have a delightful array of activities and surprises planned to ensure that our young members have an unforgettable experience.
So, mark your calendars and prepare for a day filled with laughter, fun, and cherished memories. If the weather does not cooperate on Saturday, August 12th, we have set a rain date for Sunday, August 13th from 1 pm-4 pm.
