Boxing Rock Race
Boxing Rock Race
The annual favourite, Sail NS’s Boxing Rock Cup. The event starts at the RNSYS and BBYC and finishes downtown. A Bermuda (pursuit) start makes life easier on the start line and more exciting at the other end. Stay tuned for more details.

Oyster Night is a popular event at the squadron. Come and enjoy there succulent treats from the sea. It tastes like summer!
Bermudan Mondays
A second weeknight race but in a more casual style. All the races will be pursuit style with a Bermudan start and fixed courses. White sails only and a breakwater start and finish. Mondays from June to August (see schedule below). No registration, just check in before the race on VHF channel 72, and it’s free!
Before 6:30pm, the course for the evening will be announced on the VHF. Find the course in the Mondays Courses and Start Times document below and it will tell you the course to be sailed and your start time based on the handicap of your boat. Don’t forget to use your non-spinnaker handicap to find your start time! Cross the start line at or after your start time, sail the course and arrive back with everyone else for the grand finish!

A 148NM coastal ocean race from Halifax to the area of White Point and back. Open to all. Boats must meet the modified OSR Cat 3 requirements.

Caribbean Night
Caribbean Night
It's time to shake off the winter blues and enjoy a night of Caribbean-themed fun. Don your finest summer wear, dig out your Ray-Bans, dust off your flip-flops. There will be Caribbean themed music, food and drinks. Of course, we'll have an Ugly Tropical Shirt contest (why should your Christmas sweater have all the fun). A portion of the proceeds will go towards our sailing programs.
