Prerequisites: Prerequisites: Basic sailing ability, comfortable in a single handed dinghy like a laser
A weekend course for sailors looking to try Waszp foiling for the first time, this will teach the basics and give participants ample on water time with personalized coaching from one of our qualified instructors. This course will help develop balance so that participants will be able to get a Waszp foiling.

Prerequisites: Intro to Waszp
For sailors with some previous Waszp experience this course will focus on more advanced techniques such as tacking, pumping, and gybing. These will allow sailors to foil around a course or just stay up on the foils for longer!

A weekend course for those looking to spend some time on the water and understand the basics of wing foiling, An experienced coach will teach you the foil skills first by tow foiling behind a RHIB, then learn to use the wing on a large beginner board and then combine those skills to use the wing and the foil together.

You will need a wetsuit for whatever course you are doing so you don’t get too cold, as you will fall in the water and we spend the majority of our time on the water and in the coach boat.

If you have them then it is a good idea to bring booties or shoes you can wear in the water, a PFD (Lifejacket), a helmet and a windproof jacket for when you are in the coach boat. We do have some spare equipment we can lend out but this is limited.

Yes! We will normally come back to the Marine Activity Centre for lunch but it is a good idea to bring a packed lunch as well as a few snacks and a water bottle which you can keep in the coach boat to keep your energy up on the water.

All courses will meet at the Marine Activity Centre at RNSYS. Turn right as you enter the main gates of the club and keep driving through and you will see the blue/grey building on your right.

No, all of our coaching programming is open to the general public, though preferred rates are offered to members.

Yes, our courses are open to adults and children, the only limiting factor is physical strength. Anybody aged 12 and up is welcome to try and please reach out if you have any doubts as to whether you will be capable.
CANFoil WEEK
October 4th-12th, 2025
We are excited to announce that CANFOIL Week will be held at the RNSYS from October 4th to 12th. To ensure everyone gets the most out of this event, here are the details:
Learn To Clinics (October 4th-5th)
Learn to Waszp: This boat is designed for a single person to get foiling and is a fast, fun, and exhilarating side of sailing. This course is designed to teach the basics of Waszp sailing to anyone regardless of past experience.
Learn to Wingfoil: Learn the basics of Wingfoiling. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to sail with a wing and learn the basics of board balance and propulsion to get foiling!
Clinics will be offered in two registration options.
Morning 10:00am - 2:00pm Saturday Oct 4th and Sunday Oct 5th
Afternoon 3:00pm - 7:00pm Saturday Oct 4th and Sunday Oct 5th
CANFOIL CLINICS (October 7-10)
For the rest of CANFOIL Week, you can participate in daily sessions, again choosing between:
Daytime Session: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM October 7-10
Evening Session: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM October 7-10
Each session offers the chance to participate in one of the following specialized clinics:
Learn to WASZP: This clinic is ideal for those with little to no experience with a WASZP. You'll have the opportunity to learn from seasoned and accomplished instructors, building your confidence and skills on the water.
WASZP Racing: This clinic is designed for those looking to improve their racing skills and become better competitors in the WASZP. It’s focused on refining techniques and strategies to enhance your performance.
IQFoil Clinic: Suitable for both beginners and experienced participants, this clinic offers valuable time on the water to gain more experience with IQFoil. It’s a great way to advance your skills, whether you’re just starting or looking to improve. Three experienced windfoil coaches will be working with this group throughout the clinic to ensure maximum opportunities for learning regardless of skill level.
Wing Clinic: This clinic is perfect for anyone interested in wing foiling, from newcomers to seasoned participants. You’ll get hands-on experience and guidance to help you master the wing foil.
Mix and Match Your Experience
You can choose different clinics for each session, giving you the flexibility to try new skills or focus on areas where you want to improve. When registering, please make sure to select the specific sessions (morning or afternoon) and the specific clinic you wish to attend each day.
CANFOIL CUP Racing (October 11th-12th)
The week will culminate in the CANFOIL CUP Racing on Saturday, October 11th, and Sunday, October 12th as the Waszp Nationals and the first Wingfoil & IQFoil Provincials. This is an exciting opportunity to put your skills to the test in a competitive setting.
